This short course is designed to help builders identify how to:

  • Identify materials made from recycled products
  • Engage designers and clients
  • Create and Implement Waste Management Plans
  • Use practical methods to cut waste and save money

Waste management is not just good for the planet, with waste disposal costs skyrocketing, its also good for your bottom line. The course is available on-line as part of the GBI's Built Green Program, and is created and presented by Australia's leading green builders. Hear from industry experts from Australia and around the world as they demonstrate best practice in waste minimisation. Research the latest methods and develop your own waste management plan. Over 20 multi-media lessons make learning fun and practical.

Eligible ACT residents are eligible for funding for training rebates of up to 70% of training costs through the ACT Building and Construction Industry Training Fund. Submit applications for funding through the website.

Eligible WA residents are eligible for funding of training rebates of up to 80% of training costs through the Construction Training Fund.

Course requirements:

Students must be currently working in the building industry and have access to the internet.
