The Green Plumbers® training program is designed to assist plumbers in understanding their role in relation to environmental & public health, and to provide their customers with up to date information and advice on:

  • latest technology and energy saving appliances
  • practical appliances & installation knowledge
  • environmental impacts of plumbing services, appliances and household practices
  • consumer information
  • energy/water/cost savings (short term and long term cost comparisons and environmental benefits)

The course is comprised of 9 units of study:

  • Core Units
  • Climate Care
  • Caring for our Water (8 Hours)
  • Solar Hot Water (6 Hours)
  • Inspection Reports (4 Hours)
  • Water Efficient Technology (8 Hours)

Elective units

  • Commercial Hot Water (8 Hours)
  • Principles in Pumps (8 Hours)
  • Natural Wastewater Design and Treatment (8 Hours)
  • Principles in Urban Irrigation (8 Hours)
